Adobe adds new visual recognition capabilities for Magento merchants. Adobe is launching a visual product recommendation that allows Magento Commerce retailers to give their shoppers recommendations for items that look close to what they are considering buying, taking into account characteristics such as color, form, scale, material, and style. The feature is powered by Adobe Sensei, which recognizes and processes product images and patterns using visual AI.

Microsoft debuts shopping features for Edge and Bing. Microsoft has announced Edge and Bing updates related to shopping. In order to make finding coupons quicker and simpler, Edge, the cross-platform browser, has a new update. A shopper is alerted while visiting a site if there are any coupons available for that site, and coupon codes appear upon checkout. Edge now has a new proactive price comparison tool that will inspect rival stores and let the consumer know if there is a cheaper price.

Amazon launches intellectual property accelerator in Europe. In France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, Amazon has launched an intellectual property accelerator, making it simpler and more cost-effective for small and medium-sized companies to secure trademarks, protect their products, and combat counterfeit goods. Open to any brand that sells in Amazon shops, IP Accelerator links entrepreneurs directly to a curated network of European law firms with IP rights expertise.

Shopify launches partnership with Alipay. Shopify has announced a collaboration with the leading digital wallet platform in Asia, Alipay. The new payment gateway will enable merchants from Shopify to seamlessly accept payments from more than 1 billion annual active users in China alone via Alipay. Now, Shopify merchants will minimize friction through the Alipay payment gateway for those customers looking to make transactions using their chosen payment method.
